Rope Bottoming Essentials: One-Day Intensive

Rope Bottoming Essentials: One Day Intensive

* Tickets drop August 1 at 7:00 PM at NatalieRoseRope.com

* Only 7 in-person tying pair tickets available.

* Virtual tickets open once in-person sells out.

This is not just another rope class. It’s an immersive, full-day experience designed to center the person being tied physically, emotionally, and mentally.

What You’ll Get:

Join Natalie Rose and Rion Rhodes for 8 hours of guided practice, community connection, and embodied education. You’ll gain practical tools, bottom-specific techniques, and deeper self-awareness. This intensive combines material from Nat's long-running Bottoming in Rope 101, 201, 301, 401 series into one transformative day.

You’ll leave with:

* Confidence in negotiation, vetting, and advocacy

* Tools to manage your body, breath, and boundaries in rope

* Strategies for physical positioning, endurance, and transitions

* A better understanding of Semenawa and your own limits

* A deeper connection with yourself and your tying partner

While every rope journey is unique, Nat and Rion will share invaluable tips garnered from years of experience. Delve into a range of topics including vetting potential rope play partners, effective negotiation techniques, mental and physical preparation for rope, distinguishing between sensations of comfort and discomfort, open communication during rope play, mindful breathing, and maintaining control over your body even while bound. Gain valuable insights into muscle control and body positioning during transitions in suspension. And we will talk about the idea of semenawa; suffering in rope for endurance bondage.

Open to all skill levels, all bodies, all identities.

Inclusivity & Access:

We welcome participants of all genders, body types, races, relationship styles, abilities, and backgrounds. Our goal is to create an affirming space where every person can explore rope on their terms.

Whether you’re new to rope or deep in your journey, you are welcome here.

What to Bring:

If You Are Tying and Suspending:

* 12 lengths of 26–30ft suspension-worthy rope

* At least 4 rated climbing carabiners

* Suspension ring or hard point gear (if available)

* Safety tools and floor barrier

* Water bottle and notebook

If You Are Tying (No Suspension):

* 4+ lengths of 26–30ft rope

* Safety tools and floor barrier

* Water bottle and notebook

If you are new to rope and you are not tying:

* Floor barrier

* Water bottle and notebook

Safety Note: Tying pairs that intend to suspend must be capable of safely conducting a repeatable 10–15 minute suspension-based scene. If your technique doesn’t meet safety standards, you may be asked to observe that portion. And/or you may ask a BoSo Flight Crew Member to step in. Nat and Rion will review uplines and tie-offs before suspensions begin. For those unable to meet the tying prerequisites, we welcome you to attend and tie to your own skill level. Bring a notebook and pen to capture insights that will enrich your rope journey. And/or you may ask a BoSo Flight Crew Member to step in.

The BoSo Flight Crew:

Need a tying partner? We’ve got you. We will have a team of instructors and graduates from the 12-month [Bondage Soup][https://www.bondagesoup.com] program, who will be available as vetted tops that are willing and able to tie. The BoSo Flight Crew will be on hand to tie bottoms if their top is new to rope, or when their top feels like the tie is beyond their skill level. Every bottom should have the opportunity to experience the ties in this intensive. So, if you need a tying partner, we've got you covered.

Food & Amenities:

Lunch is catered with plenty of options:

Mac and cheese, meatloaf with mashed potatoes, chicken taco bar, chips, fruits, veggies, chocolates, and bottled water.

If you would like to bring your own food, we will have a refrigerator that you can use. Or if you would like to leave to get your own food, there is a QFC and several small restaurants are nearby.

Consent & Recording:

This is a live, in-person and virtual event. Audio and video recording is not permitted.
